The Boon Street Art Festival 2019 energized Hamilton’s urban landscape with a fresh wave of vibrant murals created by both local and international artists.
Spanning key locations like the Central Library and prominent city walls, the festival showcased a mix of geometric abstraction, cultural storytelling, and bold visual styles. By transforming public spaces into engaging art galleries, the event strengthened community connections and continued to champion the idea of “art everywhere, every day” throughout the city.
The 2019 Boon Street Art Festival featured a talented lineup of artists, including Melinda Butt, Kell Sunshine, Enox, Kalani Lanusi, and Bruce McLachlan, each bringing their own unique style and perspective to the streets of Hamilton. Their work transformed high-profile locations around the city, with murals appearing on the Central Library, the Chamber Wing of the Council building, and a large wall facing Anglesea Street, among others.
